The Captain’s Angel

Alright, alright, I get the pseudonym thing, but if you’re going to do something, do it all the way. This book is Anita Stansfield writing as Elizabeth D. Michaels. Honestly, I don’t understand the need to use a pseudonym when you are just advertising who the real author is. Maybe Michaels wasn’t getting the notoriety earlier in the series, maybe it’s something else, but I don’t get it. If you’ve got an idea, leave it in the comments below, I’d love to hear your take on it.

Anyway, here we go. Clean romance, Britain, aristocracy, Victorian era, you know the drill. If this is your cup of tea (historical pun intended), this will be right up your alley.

From the publisher:

It was a long and tortuous journey, but Ritcherd and Kyrah Buchanan have finally settled into an idyllic marriage and are living their dream as lord and lady of Buckley manor. Nothing, it seems, can mar their happiness.

But the peace is shattered by a sudden family tragedy that will change their lives forever. While Ritcherd battles through intense grief and fury that threatens to rip their family apart, old demons from his past resurface, and a treason investigation threatens to send both Ritcherd and Garrett to the gallows.

The brothers must somehow outwit their accusers, even as Ritcherd struggles to find himself again and heal wounds both recent and long past. His life-and his marriage-hangs in the balance.
